Lead Occupational Therapist

Rizza received her Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology with a Minor in Human Development from UC San Diego. She later attended the University of St. Augustine, San Marcos, where she earned her Master of Occupational Therapy. She is a registered and licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of California.

Rizza has always had a passion for working with children. She has experience in early intervention settings, supporting children ages 0-3 in center-based programs, in their homes, and on an individual basis at pediatric outpatient clinics. She has worked with children with diverse needs and diagnoses, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Down syndrome, fine motor delays, sensory processing differences, feeding challenges, rare genetic disorders, and developmental delays. She is trained in the Learn Play Thrive Approach to Autism and is a DIRFloortime® Practitioner, having completed the DIRFloortime® 101 and 201 courses. She is also fluent in Tagalog.

Rizza takes a child-centered, play-based, and strengths-based approach to therapy. She is passionate about creating a supportive and engaging environment where children can grow and reach their full potential. Her favorite part of working with families is celebrating each child’s progress and empowering parents to incorporate therapeutic strategies at home.

Outside of work, Rizza enjoys traveling with her family, trying new restaurants, spending time with her niece and nephew, and catching up on Grey’s Anatomy!
